Antares' ascent stage left the Moon and rendezvoused with Kitty Hawk without complications, and Shepard, Mitchell, and Roosa left lunar orbit in the evening of February 6, 1971. They would splash down on February 9, but at this moment, they were looking at the Earth ahead of them, each silently reflecting on how a trip to another planet had changed him.
